Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold medal in 2011 and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina last fought against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship of Kyrgystan. She was 3-0 after winning in the second round TKO. The next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a break from MMA so that she could focus on kickboxing. She made her return against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. In 2018, she left the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized superior strikes in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the fight. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, and also defeated Ariane. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
